What This Skill Does

Thoughtful is an advanced WhatsApp intelligence agent designed to transform your digital communication from a reactive inbox into a proactive relationship management system. Rather than providing standard message summaries, it intelligently monitors your interactions to extract commitments, action items, and relationship-based insights. It organizes your communication into actionable categories: tracking promises you’ve made, items you are waiting on, and sentiment shifts in your social circle. By functioning as a meta-layer over your chat history, it ensures that no important task or emotional nuance falls through the cracks, allowing you to remain present and intentional in your relationships.

Installation

To add this capability to your OpenClaw agent, execute the following command in your terminal:

Upon initial installation, the agent will trigger an interactive setup sequence. It will request permission to access your WhatsApp exports or active sessions, present a list of your existing groups, and ask you to designate priority contacts. You do not need to manually configure files; the agent handles the directory structure creation in your ${WORKDIR}/thoughtful-data/ folder automatically.

Tips & Limitations

• Privacy: All data is processed locally. Ensure your ${WORKDIR} is secure as it contains snapshots of your personal communication.
• Consistency: The quality of the coaching improves as the agent observes more interaction patterns over time. Avoid purging the context/ folder too frequently if you want deep, historical relationship insights.
• Limitations: The agent relies on the clarity of the text; sarcastic or highly nuanced humor might occasionally be misidentified as a sentiment shift, so always verify sensitive outgoing messages before sending.
