Why use this skill?
Efficiently automate your Twitter and X workflow with OpenClaw. Post tweets, manage media, handle DMs, and scale your social presence using inference.sh CLI integration.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/okaris/twitter-automationWhat This Skill Does
The twitter-automation skill for OpenClaw provides a powerful, command-line-driven interface for interacting with Twitter (X). By leveraging the inference.sh CLI, this skill enables seamless integration of social media actions directly into your AI workflows. It supports a comprehensive suite of operations, including creating text-based tweets, uploading media-rich posts, engaging with the community through likes and retweets, managing direct messages, and tracking user activity. Whether you are building an autonomous social media manager, a content scheduling bot, or an AI agent that broadcasts its own generated content, this skill provides the underlying API bridge to make it happen programmatically.
Installation
To get started, you must have the inference.sh CLI installed. Execute the command curl -fsSL https://cli.inference.sh | sh && infsh login in your terminal to initialize the environment. Once authenticated, you can integrate this skill into your environment by running clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/okaris/twitter-automation. This command syncs the necessary dependencies and allows your OpenClaw agent to execute X-related tasks immediately.
Use Cases
- Autonomous Content Creation: Automatically publish AI-generated images or videos created by other skills (like falai/flux or google/veo) directly to your feed.
- Engagement Bots: Monitor and interact with specific accounts or topics by automatically liking relevant content or responding to DMs.
- Social Media Management: Schedule recurring posts, clean up your profile by deleting old content, or scrape user profiles for analytical insights.
- Brand Growth: Maintain a consistent posting schedule to improve audience reach without manual intervention.
Example Prompts
- "Post a new tweet saying that the latest AI research paper is out, include a link to the paper."
- "Check my mentions and if someone sends me a DM asking about my services, send them the pricing document link."
- "Follow the user 'openai' and then retweet their most recent post to my feed."
Tips & Limitations
- Rate Limiting: Be aware of Twitter's platform-level rate limits. Excessive automated actions may lead to account restrictions; implement delays or throttles in your agent's logic to stay within safe boundaries.
- Authentication: Ensure your
infshlogin session is active and possesses the correct permissions to act on your behalf on X. - Media Content: When posting media, ensure the URL provided is publicly accessible so the X API can fetch and host the file successfully.
- Safety: Always review your agent's configuration before running it on production accounts to prevent accidental spam or inappropriate content dissemination.
