This pet lives directly on your desktop, utilizing dual-window architecture to handle both visual behavior (eye expressions, mood colors) and real-time communication (desktop lyrics). It supports 15+ distinct eye expressions including blinking, curiosity, and mouse-tracking, along with dynamic voice synthesis powered by MiniMax for emotional vocal delivery. It serves as an expressive bridge between the agent's logic and the user's workspace.

Installation

To integrate the desktop pet into your OpenClaw environment, use the CLI provided by the ClawHub ecosystem. Run the following command in your terminal: clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/kk43994/desktop-pet After installation, ensure the OpenClaw gateway is running. If you intend to use advanced voice cloning, configure your MiniMax API credentials within the pet-config.json file located in the skill directory. For users preferring a zero-configuration experience, the tool defaults to Microsoft Edge TTS automatically.

Tips & Limitations

• Transparency: The pet utilizes transparent Electron windows; ensure your desktop wallpaper isn't overly cluttered to maintain visual clarity of the glass ball effect.
• Performance: Because it uses pure CSS/JS for animations, it is lightweight, but heavy voice cloning activity can influence memory usage.
• Focus: The lyrics window is designed with mouse pass-through, so it will not block your ability to click on desktop icons or other application windows located beneath it. If you encounter issues, verify that your OS window manager allows top-most floating windows.
