The X Article Editor is a powerful utility designed to transform rough ideas, fragmented notes, or average drafts into high-engagement articles optimized for the X (formerly Twitter) platform. It operates using a rigorous, proprietary 8-step framework that ensures your content isn't just readable, but designed to drive interactions. The process follows a strict two-step structure: first, delivering a finalized, copy-paste-ready version of your content; and second, providing a diagnostic audit scored out of 80 points to identify strengths and high-impact improvement areas.
Installation
You can install this skill directly into your OpenClaw environment by running the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/jchopard69/x-article-editor
Use Cases
- Writing from Scratch: Input a brief, raw thoughts, or a list of data points, and let the agent construct a professional article structured for maximum reader retention.
- Refining Drafts: Paste an existing draft to polish the tone, ensure the hook is compelling, and verify that the formatting adheres to modern X readability standards (e.g., short paragraphs, subheadings, and bolded insights).
- Content Audit: Use the scoring mechanism to perform a "sanity check" on your content to ensure it aligns with the 8-step framework, specifically focusing on tone, clarity, and structural skimmability.
Example Prompts
- "I want to write an X article about the future of remote work. Here are my notes: [bulleted list of points]. Please write this in a professional yet conversational tone."
- "Please review this draft of an X article for engagement. I feel like the hook is too long and the structure is hard to follow. [Paste Draft Here]"
- "Can you help me turn this research paper summary into an X article? Focus on the main insight regarding productivity gains."
Tips & Limitations
- Two-Step Workflow: Always wait for the full output. The agent will output the 'FINAL ARTICLE' block first, followed by the detailed 'REVIEW' section. Do not interrupt the generation process before the audit is complete.
- Tone Matching: The agent defaults to your input language. If you are writing in English but provide inspiration in another language, explicitly state your desired output language.
- Critical Focus: Pay close attention to the 'CRITICAL FIXES' section in the audit; these are the highest-leverage changes suggested by the framework to increase your article's potential performance.
