Video Generation
Create AI videos with optimized prompts, motion control, and platform-ready output.
Why use this skill?
Master AI video generation with OpenClaw. Streamline prompts, motion control, and platform-ready output for Runway, Luma, Kling, and more.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/video-generationWhat This Skill Does
The Video Generation skill for OpenClaw is a comprehensive toolset designed to streamline the creation and management of AI-generated video content. It acts as an intelligent intermediary between your creative intent and powerful video synthesis providers like Runway, Luma, Kling, and Pika. By standardizing prompt engineering, handling API interactions, and providing expert guidance on motion physics and camera language, this skill reduces the trial-and-error cycle typically associated with AI video generation. It supports text-to-video, image-to-video, and complex video editing workflows while ensuring platform-specific constraints are met.
Installation
You can integrate this skill into your environment by running the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/video-generation
Ensure your local environment configuration includes the necessary API keys as defined in the providers.md file located in the source repository.
Use Cases
- Professional Content: Utilizing Runway Gen-4.5 for high-fidelity, complex motion scenarios that require cinematic control.
- Social Media Marketing: Leveraging Kling V2 or Pika to create high-engagement vertical (9:16) content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Prototyping: Rapid iteration of visual concepts using Replicate for model testing before committing to high-cost production runs.
- Cinematic Storytelling: Using Luma Dream Machine to apply specific camera movements like dolly zooms or tracking shots to existing images or prompts.
Example Prompts
- "I need a 16:9 cinematic video of a futuristic cyberpunk city. Use Runway, keep it under 5 seconds for testing, and include a slow camera dolly zoom into the central skyscraper."
- "Transform this uploaded image of a woman walking into a 9:16 video. Make sure her hair flows naturally in the wind, and keep the file ready for TikTok. Use Kling V2."
- "Help me create a short animation of a neon sign flickering. I want to test it on Pika first; keep the resolution low to save on credits until I validate the prompt."
Tips & Limitations
To maximize the quality of your output, always front-load your subject description and keep prompts under 200 tokens to prevent motion dilution. Avoid requesting impossible physics, which often results in "uncanny valley" artifacts. If you encounter face morphing or hand deformation, try re-framing your shot to minimize visibility or explicitly add "consistent face" tags. Always generate in your final target aspect ratio to avoid the quality loss associated with post-process cropping. Start with the shortest available duration and lowest resolution to validate your prompt before extending the clip, as costs scale with duration.
