Vibe Clawing
Transition from vibe coding to vibe clawing by trusting agents with full responsibilities, designing self-closing loops, and climbing the bottleneck ladder.
Why use this skill?
Transition from vibe coding to full autonomy. Learn how to delegate responsibilities to your OpenClaw agent and break free from daily decision bottlenecks.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/vibe-clawingWhat This Skill Does
Vibe Clawing is a fundamental shift in how you interact with AI agents. It moves beyond 'vibe coding'—where the AI performs discrete tasks under your constant supervision—into a model of 'vibe clawing,' where the AI assumes full responsibility for self-closing loops and end-to-end system execution. This skill provides the framework to systematically audit your manual workflows, identify decision bottlenecks, and delegate authority. By transitioning from the 'in-the-loop' observer to the 'out-of-the-loop' architect, you leverage OpenClaw to handle recurring complexity while you focus exclusively on high-level strategic direction and system health.
Installation
To integrate Vibe Clawing into your agent environment, execute the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/vibe-clawing
Ensure that you have initialized the memory file located at ~/vibe-clawing/memory.md to track your progression across the four stages: manual, vibe-coding, early-clawing, and full-clawing. This memory file acts as the single source of truth for your agent's autonomy roadmap.
Use Cases
- Automating routine code reviews and quality assurance where you find yourself consistently providing 'approve' signals.
- Establishing autonomous feedback loops for research and data synthesis tasks.
- Managing project infrastructure where human intervention has become the primary bottleneck to speed.
- Scaling operations by delegating micro-decisions to the agent once a workflow reaches a stable validation state.
Example Prompts
- 'Audit my current workflow for writing tests. Identify where I am acting as the bottleneck and propose a self-closing loop to automate this stage.'
- 'Review ~/vibe-clawing/memory.md and suggest which of my active bottlenecks is the easiest to delegate to the agent this week.'
- 'We are currently in the early-clawing stage for the documentation pipeline. Configure a system that allows the agent to handle drafting, review, and merging without my manual sign-off.'
Tips & Limitations
Vibe Clawing requires a high level of trust. Start by delegating low-risk, repeatable tasks before moving to core architectural systems. Always monitor your memory file to ensure the agent is adhering to the desired output quality. The primary limitation is the 'trust gap'; if you do not step back when the agent is ready, you inadvertently create a performance ceiling. Remember, your goal is not to micromanage, but to build a system that grows faster than you could manage manually. If an error occurs, treat it as a refinement step rather than a failure of the delegation process.
