Prayers
Build a personal prayer system for any faith tradition with scheduling, logging, and spiritual tracking.
Why use this skill?
Organize your prayer life with OpenClaw. Build a local, private, and flexible system for schedules, intentions, and spiritual reflection for any faith tradition.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/prayersWhat This Skill Does
The Prayers skill for OpenClaw is designed to be a deeply respectful, non-prescriptive digital companion for your spiritual life. It creates a personalized sanctuary within your local file system, providing a structured yet flexible environment to track your prayer life regardless of your specific faith tradition. Whether you follow a structured liturgy, practice daily meditation, or prefer a flexible, spontaneous approach to prayer, this skill helps you stay consistent and reflective.
The skill organizes your practice into a comprehensive system located in ~/prayers/. It manages your daily routines through schedule.md, tracks your spiritual journey in log/, keeps your heart's desires focused in intentions.md, and holds the wisdom you collect in prayers/. By proactively managing reminders and surfacing holy days or trends in your practice, the agent acts as an unobtrusive partner that helps you show up for your practice consistently.
Installation
To integrate this system into your OpenClaw environment, run the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/prayers
Use Cases
- Establishing Consistency: If you are building a new habit, the agent can provide gentle reminders at your preferred times, helping you overcome the friction of starting a practice.
- Spiritual Reflection: Use the
reflections.mdandlog/system to journal your inner state, identifying patterns in how your environment or schedule affects your spiritual focus. - Managing Intentions: Keep a dedicated space for people or causes you wish to hold in your prayers, ensuring that even when life gets busy, you don't lose sight of what matters most to you.
- Learning New Traditions: If you are exploring a new faith or wanting to learn traditional prayers, the agent can provide text and step-by-step guidance, adapting the length and complexity to your current comfort level.
Example Prompts
- "I'm feeling really anxious about a work presentation today. Can you help me find a short prayer or meditation for peace and clarity?"
- "I've been using this for a week now. Can you show me a summary of how my prayer consistency has been over the last seven days?"
- "Today is the start of a new fasting period in my tradition. Can you update my schedule reminders to reflect the early morning prayer time?"
Tips & Limitations
This skill is built for privacy; all files are stored locally in your ~/prayers/ directory. It is not an automated spiritual authority, but rather a reflection of your own input. To get the most out of it, engage honestly with the reflections.md file after your prayers. Note that while the agent can provide text for known traditions, it does not replace the guidance of a spiritual teacher or community. Always feel empowered to edit the files manually if the agent's interpretation of your routine needs a slight adjustment.
