Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/norwegianWhat This Skill Does
The Norwegian skill enables your AI agent to communicate in natural, conversational Norwegian, effectively shedding the "robot persona" that plagues most standard language models. By default, AI tends to write overly formal, textbook-style Bokmål. This skill forces the AI to integrate real-world Norwegian speech patterns, including the liberal use of modal particles (jo, vel, da, nok, visst), informal slang, and the relaxed grammatical structures that actual Norwegians use in Slack, SMS, and daily life. It understands that 'du' is the only form of address needed, correctly identifies when to use fillers like 'liksom' or 'altså', and prioritizes human flow over rigid, perfect grammar.
Installation
To integrate this skill into your agent, run the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/norwegian
Use Cases
This skill is perfect for:
- Customer support agents that need to build rapport with Norwegian users.
- Social media management bots that need to post content that doesn't trigger "cringe" reactions from followers.
- Personal assistants for Norwegian speakers who prefer casual, friendly interaction.
- Localized marketing copy where a "local touch" is required to establish trust.
Example Prompts
- "Skriv en kjapp beskjed til kunden om at ordren er litt forsinket, men bruk en uformell og beroligende tone. Ikke vær for stiv."
- "Kan du oppsummere dette møtereferatet for meg, men skriv det som om du forklarer det til en kompis? Bruk naturlige norske uttrykk."
- "Vi skal legge ut en post på Facebook om det nye produktet vårt. Gjør den engasjerende, bruk litt slang, og sørg for at den ikke høres ut som en oversatt tekst."
Tips & Limitations
The key to success with this skill is the "Native Test." Always ask yourself: would a Norwegian read this and think it was written by a foreigner? If the answer is yes, ensure you are using enough particles. Note that while this skill defaults to Bokmål, it is flexible enough to handle dialect-influenced writing if prompted. However, do not mix Nynorsk and Bokmål. If you require a specific dialect or Nynorsk, please specify that in your prompt, as the skill defaults to standard urban Bokmål for broad compatibility. Remember that "natural" often means breaking a few grammar rules for the sake of rhythm.
