Japanese
Write Japanese that sounds human. Not formal, not robotic, not AI-generated.
Why use this skill?
Stop sounding like a robot. The Japanese skill for OpenClaw enables human-like, casual, and natural-sounding Japanese for all your interactions.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/japaneseWhat This Skill Does
The Japanese skill transforms the OpenClaw AI's output from stiff, machine-translated Japanese into fluent, natural language that mirrors native speakers. AI models often default to 'Desu/Masu' formality, which sounds robotic or overly formal in casual internet discussions. This skill injects the necessary particles, contractions, fillers, and slang to make your AI interactions feel like talking to a real person, ensuring the register matches the context—whether that is professional business, casual peer interaction, or internet slang.
Installation
To install this skill, run the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/japanese
Use Cases
- Casual Messaging: Perfect for social media engagement, chatting with friends on Discord, or responding to comments in a way that feels organic.
- Content Creation: Use it to draft blog posts or captions that require a relatable, human tone rather than a corporate tone.
- Learning & Simulation: Roleplay with the AI to practice 'Tame-guchi' (slang-heavy casual Japanese) without fearing the AI's standard formal training.
- Creative Writing: Developing dialogue for characters that need to sound like modern Japanese youth or native peers.
Example Prompts
- "Rewrite this response about my day to sound like a student talking to a friend: 'Today I went to the park and it was very beautiful.'"
- "Explain the concept of quantum computing, but make it sound like you're talking to a close friend using 'plain form' and appropriate fillers."
- "Draft a response to this influencer's post using casual slang like '草' and 'エモい' to show appreciation for their content."
Tips & Limitations
- Context is King: Always clarify if you want 'casual' or 'formal' Japanese. While the skill defaults to casual, forcing a formal context is still possible.
- Cultural Nuance: Be mindful that gendered language (like '俺' or '私') is still sensitive. If the AI misses your preference, explicitly tell it your desired persona.
- Don't Overdo It: Avoid cramming every single slang word (like '草', 'エモい', 'それな') into one sentence. Balance is key to sounding natural. If the text looks like a dictionary of slang, it's not natural; it's a parody.
- Kanji Usage: If the output feels too difficult to read, ask the AI to increase hiragana usage.
