Fitness
Auto-learns your fitness patterns. Absorbs data from wearables, conversations, and achievements.
Why use this skill?
Transform fragmented fitness data into actionable insights. OpenClaw Fitness tracks workouts, detects patterns, and provides adaptive coaching tailored to your athletic experience.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/fitnessWhat This Skill Does
The Fitness skill for OpenClaw is a sophisticated, auto-adaptive engine designed to turn fragmented fitness data into a cohesive, actionable narrative of your physical health. Unlike static trackers that require manual input, this skill functions as an autonomous health assistant that absorbs information from diverse sources—including wearables, gym app notifications, race results, and even casual conversational mentions. It intelligently identifies your training patterns and adapts its coaching style based on your current level of expertise. By monitoring trends in your behavior, it provides nudges for beginners who need accountability and high-level data summaries for athletes who prefer objective metrics. It strictly adheres to a supportive, forward-looking philosophy, avoiding guilt-inducing language and instead focusing on how to pivot after missed sessions.
Installation
To integrate the Fitness skill into your OpenClaw environment, execute the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/fitness
After installation, the skill will immediately begin monitoring configured data sources. You can view or refine your stored fitness knowledge at any time by inspecting ~/fitness/memory.md.
Use Cases
- The Commuter Athlete: Connect your Strava and Apple Health to have the agent summarize your weekly mileage and identify how your sleep quality (via wearable data) impacts your running pace.
- The Consistency Builder: Use the agent to set a training cadence. If you miss a scheduled session, the agent will adapt your future schedule rather than shaming your inactivity.
- The Performance Optimizer: Ask the agent to analyze your training logs alongside nutrition mentions in your chat history to determine if caffeine or certain meal times correlate with your best lift days.
Example Prompts
- "I just hit a 5k PR of 22:30 this morning; please update my memory and check if that fits my current trend."
- "I'm feeling really sluggish today after a bad night's sleep. Should I stick to my planned lifting session or opt for active recovery?"
- "Show me a summary of my consistency over the last month and let me know if I'm hitting my recovery targets."
Tips & Limitations
- Manual Refinement: While the skill is auto-adaptive, periodically reviewing
~/fitness/memory.mdallows you to correct misinterpretations, such as mislabeled workout intensities. - Privacy First: All learned data is stored locally in your
~/fitness/directory. Ensure your backup solutions include this path to prevent data loss. - Gradual Adaptation: The skill becomes more accurate as it gathers more data. Do not expect perfect correlation insights during the first few days of use; give the system at least two weeks of input to establish a reliable baseline.
