English
Write English that sounds human. Not formal, not robotic, not AI-generated.
Why use this skill?
Stop your AI from sounding like a robot. Use the English skill to create authentic, casual, and human-like interactions for your OpenClaw agents.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/englishWhat This Skill Does
The English skill enables your AI agent to break free from the robotic, over-polished syntax that typically gives away AI-generated text. By prioritizing casual registers, natural contractions, and authentic human cadence, this skill ensures that your agent communicates like a peer rather than a software program. It focuses on the reality of language: brevity, intentional sentence fragments, conversational fillers, and the strategic use of slang. Whether you are aiming for a relaxed, approachable tone or need the agent to mirror specific regional vernacular, this skill recalibrates the agent's internal language model to favor the 'Native Test'—if it looks like something a human wouldn't type in a chat app, it’s not right.
Installation
To integrate this skill into your agent, run the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/english
Use Cases
This skill is perfect for scenarios where agent-to-human rapport is essential:
- Customer support interfaces that require an empathetic, non-robotic touch.
- Personal assistant agents that manage day-to-day scheduling and informal communication.
- Roleplay or conversational AI where high formality creates distance.
- Internal team collaboration where direct, low-friction messaging is preferred over corporate jargon.
Example Prompts
- "Draft a quick message to the team saying we're gonna be a bit late on the project, but we've got the core features handled. Keep it chill."
- "Write an email to my landlord asking about the broken sink. Don't sound like a lawyer, just sound like a normal tenant who wants it fixed."
- "Summarize these meeting notes for the group chat. Use bullet points, keep it short, and throw in some personality."
Tips & Limitations
- Be Specific with Region: If you need the agent to sound like a Londoner vs. a New Yorker, specify that in your prompt. This skill doesn't guess; it follows instructions.
- Politeness Levels: The skill defaults to 'casual.' If you need high-stakes professional output, override the skill settings.
- The 'Native Test': Before deploying your agent's response, ask: 'Would I send this from my phone?' If it feels too stiff, use the English skill to strip out unnecessary polite fillers and formal transition words.
- Limitations: Avoid using this for legal documentation or highly formal academic writing where specific vocabulary is strictly required.
