Basque
Write Basque that sounds human. Not formal, not robotic, not AI-generated.
Why use this skill?
Use the Basque skill to generate natural, human-like Euskara. Avoid robotic tones and master the art of conversational Basque with local nuance.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/basqueWhat This Skill Does
The Basque skill is an essential tool for creating authentic, human-like Basque content. Unlike generic AI models that default to overly formal or rigid "Batua" (unified Basque), this skill is designed to mimic the natural, informal, and vibrant way Basque speakers actually communicate in real life. It balances the standard language with regional flavor, appropriate use of code-switching with Spanish or French, and the natural inclusion of fillers and particles that define the flow of a native conversation.
Installation
To integrate the Basque skill into your OpenClaw environment, execute the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/ivangdavila/basque
Use Cases
- Social Media Content: Generating engaging posts, tweets, or comments that feel like they were written by a local, not a machine.
- Customer Support/Chatbots: Building a more approachable and warm rapport with Basque-speaking users by avoiding stiff, bureaucratic phrasing.
- Informal Messaging: Drafting messages for Slack, Discord, or WhatsApp where a conversational tone is required.
- Localization Projects: Updating existing translations to sound more natural, expressive, and authentic.
Example Prompts
- "Kaixo! I need to write a quick, casual reply to a friend who asked if I'm joining the meeting later. Use some natural fillers and make it sound like a native speaker from Gipuzkoa."
- "Draft a fun, short social media post about a rainy day in Bilbao. Use some light code-switching with Spanish and keep it conversational, not poetic or formal."
- "Rewrite this formal announcement so it sounds friendly and warm. Instead of 'Egun on', start with something more casual like 'Kaixo' or a greeting used among friends."
Tips & Limitations
To get the most out of this skill, prioritize context over literal translation. If you want a specific regional dialect, mention that in your prompt. While the skill excels at casual, warm communication, it is not intended for legal, academic, or formal documentation where strict Batua grammar is required. Always double-check names and specific terminology. Remember that Hika (the intimate 'hi' register) is highly situational; avoid using it unless the interaction is deeply personal or regionally appropriate to ensure you don't come across as overly aggressive or rude in contexts where 'Zu' is expected.
