The skill is built around three operational modes: monitor-only, draft-and-approve, and limited automation, providing users with total control over how their account interacts with the world.

Installation

To integrate the X Agent into your environment, use the OpenClaw command-line interface. Run the following command in your terminal:

Ensure that you have your X API credentials securely stored in your local environment variables before initiating the agent. Never share these credentials in a chat interface.

Tips & Limitations

To maximize the utility of the X Agent, always start with the 7-day monitor-only period to baseline the AI's understanding of your niche. Automation is powerful but should be approached incrementally. Always define your 'Quiet Hours' to prevent the bot from engaging during unprofessional times. The agent is strictly constrained to prevent accidental posting; if you ever encounter unexpected behavior, the internal kill switch command will immediately halt all autonomous processes. Note that the agent cannot provide legal, medical, or financial advice, and you must review all output manually during the pilot phase.
