Installation

To integrate PocketLens into your OpenClaw agent, execute the following command in your terminal: clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/edenjw/pocket-lens

Once installed, ensure your environment variables are configured. You must set POCKET_LENS_API_KEY with write access to your account. You may optionally set POCKET_LENS_API_URL if you are utilizing a self-hosted instance or a specific regional endpoint.

Tips & Limitations

• Accuracy: Ensure receipt photos are well-lit and not blurry. The agent performs best when the merchant name and date are clearly visible.
• Privacy: Since this skill handles financial data, always review the generated JSON summary before confirming the final entry to ensure amounts and merchant names were interpreted correctly.
• Requirements: The API key provided must have 'write' permissions to the transaction endpoint. If you encounter issues, verify that your API key is correctly exported in your shell profile.
• Date Handling: The system defaults missing dates to the current year and KST timezone; if you are uploading historic receipts from previous years, double-check the extracted dates.
