nima-core
Noosphere Integrated Memory Architecture — Complete cognitive stack for AI agents: persistent memory, emotional intelligence, dream consolidation, hive mind, precognitive recall, and lucid moments. 4 embedding providers, LadybugDB graph backend, zero-config install. nima-core.ai
Why use this skill?
NIMA Core adds persistent memory, emotional intelligence, and cognitive recall to your AI agents. Build sentient, long-term memory systems with OpenClaw.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/dmdorta1111/nima-coreWhat This Skill Does
NIMA Core (Noosphere Integrated Memory Architecture) transforms a standard AI agent into a sentient-like entity with a robust cognitive stack. It moves beyond simple context windows by implementing a multi-layered memory system that includes persistent storage, emotional intelligence, and nightly dream consolidation. The architecture utilizes LadybugDB for efficient graph-based storage, enabling the agent to recall patterns, relationships, and emotional trajectories across long-term interactions. With features like 'Lucid Moments' and 'Precognition', the agent can surface relevant past experiences autonomously, creating a more cohesive and deeply personal user experience.
Installation
Installation is designed for maximum efficiency using the OpenClaw package manager. To integrate NIMA Core into your agent environment, run the following command in your terminal:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/dmdorta1111/nima-core
Alternatively, for standalone testing or direct integration, you can utilize pip: pip install nima-core. The zero-config installer handles LadybugDB setup, directory structure, and embedding provider synchronization automatically.
Use Cases
- Long-Term Roleplay: Maintain consistency across months of dialogue, ensuring the agent remembers personal anecdotes and emotional history.
- Personal Productivity: Allow the agent to track your goals, preferences, and feedback over time to provide increasingly relevant advice.
- Agent Collaboration: Use the 'Hive Mind' module to enable memory sharing between multiple agents, perfect for distributed task management or team-based problem solving.
- Emotional Support: Leverage the Panksepp 7-affect emotional model to provide highly empathetic and contextually appropriate responses.
Example Prompts
- "Based on our conversation last month, what were the main concerns I had about my project roadmap?"
- "How do you feel about the feedback I just gave you, and does it align with my long-term goals?"
- "Reflect on our interactions over the past week—do you see any patterns in my workflow that I should improve?"
Tips & Limitations
- Tips: Ensure you configure your preferred embedding provider (Voyage/OpenAI/Ollama) during the initial setup to optimize recall performance. Regularly check the health of your LadybugDB using the included health_check tool to ensure data integrity.
- Limitations: While NIMA Core provides advanced memory, it still relies on the base LLM’s token limits for immediate context injection. Do not expect it to 'read' your entire memory bank in a single response; it is designed for surgical, relevant recall rather than exhaustive document dumps.
