capacities
Manage Capacities notes, daily entries, and weblinks.
Why use this skill?
Seamlessly sync notes, daily entries, and web links to your Capacities workspace using the OpenClaw agent. Boost your personal knowledge management efficiency.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/davidsmorais/capacitiesWhat This Skill Does
The Capacities skill allows your OpenClaw agent to act as an extension of your Second Brain. By integrating directly with the Capacities API, it enables seamless reading and writing of information into your personal knowledge base. Whether you are capturing quick thoughts, archiving web research, or querying existing object structures, this skill automates the organization of your digital life, ensuring that your insights are always captured without interrupting your workflow.
Installation
To integrate this skill into your environment, use the OpenClaw terminal to execute: clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/davidsmorais/capacities. After installation, ensure you have your CAPACITIES_API_TOKEN generated from the Capacities desktop application settings. You can store this as an environment variable or provide it via your agent configuration to enable secure authentication with your personal space.
Use Cases
This skill is ideal for knowledge workers, researchers, and students who rely on Capacities for information management. It is particularly useful for "frictionless capture," where you can simply tell your AI to log a task or thought while you are busy with other tasks. Furthermore, it assists in research workflows by allowing the AI to save web resources directly into your library and query your existing metadata structure to provide context-aware responses based on your stored notes.
Example Prompts
- "Add a note to my daily entry: Remember to review the architecture documentation for the new API migration tomorrow morning."
- "Save this URL to my Capacities space: https://docs.openclaw.io/guides/getting-started"
- "Search my space for the object ID associated with the 'Project Roadmap' note and summarize its recent updates."
Tips & Limitations
For optimal performance, always ensure your CAPACITIES_SPACE_ID is set if you manage multiple spaces, otherwise the agent will default to your primary space. Note that this skill currently focuses on saving and simple lookups; complex document transformations or bulk deletions are not supported. Always verify the API token permissions if you encounter authentication errors, and remember that updates made via the API may take a few moments to sync across your desktop and web instances of Capacities.
