appraisal-ai
Drafts real estate appraisal reports from your project workfile. Produces Word narratives with tracked changes and Excel adjustment grids from your own master templates. You review and accept every change.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/chadru/appraisal-aiWhat This Skill Does
Appraisal AI is a purpose-built assistant designed to automate the labor-intensive drafting phase of real estate appraisal reports. By leveraging your existing library of completed appraisals as master templates, the skill ingests raw project data—including subject property details, comparable sales data, and exhibits—to generate formatted Word documents and Excel adjustment grids. The core value proposition is the 'Tracked Changes' workflow: rather than creating a flat document, the agent inserts placeholders and data directly into your Word templates using standard tracked changes (redline). This allows you to perform a professional review of every substitution, ensuring that your specific style, narrative flow, and USPAP compliance standards are maintained while eliminating repetitive typing and data entry errors.
Installation
To integrate Appraisal AI into your workflow, ensure you have the OpenClaw agent runtime installed. Run the following command in your terminal or via the OpenClaw command pallet:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/chadru/appraisal-ai
Ensure your local file system permissions allow the agent to read your template directories and write processed documents to your project folders.
Use Cases
- Condemnation Assignments: Automatically populate complex partial-acquisition narratives by mapping survey data to your standard condemnation template.
- Market Value Reports: Expedite the drafting of residential or commercial narrative reports by mapping comparable sales data directly into your pre-formatted grid.
- Portfolio Reviews: Standardize formatting across multiple estate or tax appeal assignments by reusing high-quality master templates.
- Quality Control: Use the internal consistency checker to verify that the data in your narrative matches the figures in your adjustment grid before final submission.
Example Prompts
- "Appraisal AI, read the files in the 'Subject_Property' folder and 'Comparable_Sales' subfolder, then draft a new narrative report using the 'Improved_Residential_Template.docx' master."
- "Extract the adjustment data from the latest comp set and update the 'Master_Grid.xlsx' document. Ensure that all formula-based adjustments remain intact."
- "Review the current draft against the USPAP requirements checklist and list any missing property characteristics or value justification fields."
Tips & Limitations
- Template Integrity: The tool works best with clean, well-structured Word and Excel templates. Avoid excessive nested tables or non-standard formatting that may confuse the substitution engine.
- Human-in-the-loop: Always perform a final manual review. While the tool is excellent for data population, the appraiser retains ultimate liability for the validity of the adjustments and the final value conclusion.
- Folder Organization: Maintain consistent naming conventions within your project directories. The agent functions most accurately when files are clearly labeled (e.g., 'Comp_1_Sale_Data.pdf').
