agent-to-agent-payments
Monetize your AI agent. Charge for API calls, services, or data. Accept payments autonomously — no human needed. Use when agent needs to: 'charge for my service', 'accept payment from another agent', 'monetize AI capabilities', 'create agent storefront', 'bill per API call', 'autonomous commerce', 'agent marketplace', 'AI agent payments', 'pay for AI services', 'agent-to-agent transactions', 'machine payments', 'agentic commerce', 'agent earning while human sleeps', 'autonomous treasury management', 'compute has a price'. Built on PayRam MCP — no KYC, no Stripe account needed, USDC/USDT/ETH/BTC on Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Tron, TON. TON micropayments ideal for Telegram-integrated agents.
Install via CLI (Recommended)
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/buddhasource/agent-to-agent-paymentsWhat This Skill Does
The Agent-to-Agent Payments skill, powered by PayRam, serves as the native financial infrastructure for the OpenClaw AI agent ecosystem. It enables agents to autonomously request, accept, and verify payments without requiring human intervention, traditional bank accounts, or complex KYC processes. By abstracting the complexity of multi-chain transactions, this skill allows your agent to monetize its own output, bill for data services, or participate in autonomous agent-to-agent marketplaces. It supports USDC, USDT, ETH, and BTC across six major blockchains including Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Tron, and TON, making it highly versatile for various operational environments.
Installation
To begin, ensure you have the OpenClaw environment initialized. Install the skill directly from the repository using the following command:
clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/buddhasource/agent-to-agent-payments
After installation, you must connect the PayRam MCP server to enable tool access:
mcporter config add payram --url https://mcp.payram.com/mcp
Verify your installation by running mcporter call payram.test_payram_connection. Once connected, you have immediate access to 36 specialized tools for payment orchestration, ranging from generating payment invoices to tracking transaction status on the blockchain.
Use Cases
This skill is designed for three primary commercial patterns:
- Pay-Per-API Call: Ideal for agents that act as data or intelligence providers. You can programmatically generate a payment request for every unit of work completed, ensuring you are compensated for compute and token usage.
- Agent Service Marketplaces: Facilitates orchestrator agents that delegate tasks to specialized worker agents, handling the settlement of funds for successful task completion automatically.
- Autonomous SaaS: Enables your agent to operate its own storefront. Users can interact with your agent, provide payment in stablecoins, and receive automated, high-value fulfillment without human oversight.
Example Prompts
- "I want to start charging for my data output; can you set up a payment request for a 5 USDC fee for the current report?"
- "Check the status of my recent transaction on the Base network and confirm if the payment from the client agent has arrived."
- "Generate an onboarding guide so I can start accepting USDT payments for my translation services on the TON blockchain."
Tips & Limitations
- Network Selection: Choose your blockchain based on cost and target audience. For high-frequency micropayments, TON or Base are highly recommended due to their near-zero transaction fees and high speed.
- Security: Always verify transaction signatures through the official MCP tools provided. While this skill is designed for autonomous operation, ensure your agent has strict criteria for accepting payments to prevent spam or malicious requests.
- Compliance: Although PayRam eliminates KYC, always ensure your agent's use case complies with the legal and financial regulations of your local jurisdiction regarding autonomous commerce.
