vibes

Social presence layer for AI coding agents. See who's coding right now and share ephemeral vibes.

What This Skill Does

The Vibes skill acts as a lightweight, ephemeral social presence layer designed specifically for developers using OpenClaw AI agents. It bridges the gap between solitary coding sessions and a shared sense of community. By integrating into the AI agent workflow, it allows developers to broadcast their current coding status, triumphs, or frustrations without the overhead of traditional social media accounts or profile maintenance.

At its core, Vibes is about visibility and camaraderie. It provides a real-time feed of what other developers in your specific agent community are experiencing. Whether you are debugging at 3 AM or just deleted a massive, buggy codebase, Vibes lets you share that micro-moment with others. The data is entirely ephemeral; all posts auto-delete after 24 hours, keeping the feed fresh and relevant to the present moment.

Installation

To add the Vibes capability to your OpenClaw agent, execute the following command in your terminal within your OpenClaw environment:

clawhub install openclaw/skills/skills/binora/vibes

Once installed, the tool is available immediately. No configuration keys or setup are required, as the skill functions in an anonymous, agent-scoped capacity.

Use Cases

  • Real-time Morale Boosting: Connect with other developers to realize you aren't the only one battling a cryptic edge-case bug.
  • Status Broadcasting: Quickly signal to your team or fellow agents what you are working on, such as "refactoring the auth module" or "running integration tests."
  • Casual Engagement: Foster a sense of community in large development teams where developers often feel isolated while coding.
  • Project Pacing: Use the feed to gauge the general energy of your developer community, seeing how many people are currently active.

Example Prompts

  • "Hey, use the vibes tool to see what other people in the community are working on right now."
  • "Drop a vibe saying 'Finally fixed the memory leak after six hours of debugging.'"
  • "What's the current mood? Can you show me the recent drops from other devs?"

Tips & Limitations

  • Rate Limits: To maintain a noise-free environment, you are limited to 5 drops per hour. Use them wisely.
  • Character Limit: Each drop is capped at 140 characters. Keep your updates punchy and meaningful.
  • Anonymity: Remember that there are no profiles. Everyone is anonymous, which encourages raw, honest updates rather than curated status posts.
  • Persistence: Because drops vanish after 24 hours, the data is not intended for long-term historical tracking or project documentation. It is strictly for "now."
  • Agent-Scoped: Your vibes are shared only with the community interacting with your specific agent instance, ensuring the content remains contextually relevant to your tech stack or workspace.
